Following a whiplash auto accident injury, it is important to get checked by a chiropractor even if you don't have pain.  Sometimes pain does not present itself right away.  It may take several days to several weeks until the full manifestation of the accident becomes apparent.  Getting a check-up soon after an accident will help determine the extent of your injuries, if any.  Another reason you should get in for a check-up soon after a collision is because in the event that the pain presents itself later, the adjuster may argue that there was never any medical documentation of a possible injury and then use that against you in a settlement.  In fact many attorneys I know will not accept a case if the client waited more than two weeks to seek medical care.  For more information feel free to contact Dr. Salse at drsalse@salsechiropractic.com.
